We toasted in Formigal with Aragonese handicrafts on New Year's Eve 2025.
2026/03/27
Aragon bids farewell to 2025 in style, through the broadcast of the New Year's Eve chimes by Mediaset from the Formigal ski resort.
An event that not only sought to bring together as many Aragonese people as possible to say goodbye to 2025 and toast to the coming year, but which has been a resounding success in terms of attendance.
Presenters Sandra Barneda and Xuso Jones, linked to the Mediaset networks, were the masters of ceremonies of luxury where, in addition, the high craftsmanship of Aragon played a primary and leading role.
Through exclusive pieces made by artisans Susana Martín and Aránzazu Lafarga
The pieces have been made by the artist Susana Martín, a glass artisan, who has made some exclusive limited edition glasses that will be the champagne glasses with which the presenters and the team behind the camera will toast to welcome the year 2026.
Also participating is Aránzazu Lafarga, the artist behind La Benditera, a ceramic artisan who has also created a limited series of bowls specifically for the event, which will hold the grapes with which the presenters will ring in 2025. Lafarga has drawn inspiration from the sunset skies of Formigal and the ice, using Japanese carving and crackling techniques, and translucent porcelain to achieve a pure, snow-white finish.
This collaboration puts Aragonese high-quality craftsmanship in the spotlight and raises the profile of the entire artisan sector in the region.
