Colosco originates in the Aragonese Pyrenees, near the Ordesa and Monte Perdido National Park.Behind this brand is me, Regina, in love with knitting, needles, and colors, and with those little moments you steal from your daily routine to sit down and escape the world by knitting. A surroundings that, in this small corner of the world, are both spectacular and wild.In such an incomparable setting, nature is my greatest inspiration and source of ideas. I live in an extremely rural area where life unfolds according to its own rhythms and the laws of the nature that surrounds us. Here, livestock farming is a vital source of livelihood, and interaction with the Pyrenean landscape is constant and a way of life. This way of life shapes my work philosophy and my understanding of the working world in an ethical and non-abusive manner, both towards myself and others.I work with eco-friendly acid dyes certified by the OEKO-TEX® Standard 100, and with them I develop a unique and personal color palette, capable of unleashing imagination and creativity.The dyeing process is done in a very artisanal way, but above all respectful of my surroundings and the environment, so the products used for the dyeing and washing process are natural and for everyday use.The wool I use comes from humane farms where the animals are not mistreated; if that were the case, I wouldn't choose to work with them. Respect for them and for you is very important in my work philosophy.This project also involves recovering the wool from the sheep in my area so that it can be processed by hand to create yarn for designing and making tapestries and decorative objects. This process includes traditional techniques and practices for washing and preparing the fiber, from shearing to spinning, and dyeing it with natural materials from the surrounding environment.
